UPDATE: Sportsnet reporter Elliotte Friedman reports that Cam Talbot will indeed get the start over Marc Andre Fleury for Game 6 against the St. Louis Blues this evening.

Read below for our earlier report on this developing story.

The Minnesota Wild have their backs against the wall and their season on the line tonight in an absolute must win Game 6 against the St. Louis Blues and it looks like head coach Dean Evason is shaking things up.

According to reports from Wild insider Michael Russo Evason is making some lineup changes and it looks like starting goaltender Marc Andre Fleury might be replaced by backup Cam Talbot.

“We trust both our goaltenders,” Evason said following Game 4. “We’ve seen enough of Marc-Andre Fleury to know — and have watched him forever to know — that he’s a guy that responds correctly. We also know that Cam Talbot is the ultimate professional, works his butt off if he’s playing or not playing, and would be ready to go (Thursday) night.”

Evason confirmed to the media that indeed changes are happening, but he wouldn't tip his hat... mostly becuase he hasn't informed his players of the changes yet.

“Will we divulge them today? No, because we, one, haven’t spoke to players. … We lost (Tuesday’s) game. We have to make some changes. We will. Hopefully we’ll choose the right ones.”

Puck drop is 8:30pm CT. Game on.
