The Red Wings will be looking for some more offence after dropping Monday night's game against the Montreal Canadiens by a score of 2-0. They may have found exactly what they need prior to Wednesday’s Rivalry Night game against Chicago. The Wings have decided to recall the AHL's leading scorer Teemu Pulkkinen prior to Wednesday's tilt. Pulkkinen, who appeared in six games for the Wings last month, has scored 30 goals in 57 games for Grand Rapids this season and has quickly become a fan favourite. Detroit GM Ken Holland said he “shoots like Brett Hull” and the 23-year-old Finn later appeared in his first-ever AHL All-Star Classic at the end of January. According to MLive, Tomas Jurco, who’s gone 25 games without a goal, is the most likely candidate to be replaced.
