Reporter sexually harrassed while covering Hockey Canada scandal

What a bad look.

Michael W.

Just as things took a turn for the worst for Hockey Canada in the midst of their sexual assault investigations, another bad look was thrust upon hockey culture.

Female reporter Paige Ellis was sexually harassed by a man in a hockey jersey while she was in the midst of reporting on the Hockey Canada scandal. While she was in the midst of her report, a man wearing a retro Toronto Maple Leafs sweater approached her from behind and began hurling extremely inappropriate remarks towards her and the camera.

The translation via ledevoir.com reads:

”Irony, when you hold us. Reporting recent developments in the Hockey Canada affair through the Canadian affairs chain BNN Bloomberg, journalist Paige Ellis uploaded a direct attack on the part of a man wearing a hockey tracksuit. This is a verbal assault with a sexual content, according to the newspaper.”

"Sorry everyone, that really surprised me," she said, after being abruptly interrupted by the man. Paige Ellis calmly continued her direct immediately afterwards. His tweet has been shared over 2,000 times, and garnered over 10,000 likes.

Man, what an absolutely terrible look, especially in the midst of the horrible allegations surrounding Hockey Canada.
