According to multiple online reports, veteran NHL forward Max Pacioretty is hanging up his skates.

Nick Alberga is reporting that Pacioretty has decided to retire, despite receiving interest from some NHL teams this past offseason.

Alberga also reports that Pacioretty has taken a position with the University of Michigan.

From Alberga:

If this is indeed the end for Pacioretty, he'll end his NHL career with a stellar 335 goals and 681 points in 939 games split between the Montreal Canadiens, Vegas Golden Knights, Carolina Hurricanes, Washington Capitals and Toronto Maple Leafs.
