It's been a whirlwind week on the NHL's trade market.

The Edmonton Oilers and Pittsburgh Penguins of course swapped goaltenders with Tristan Jarry heading to Edmonton in exchange for Stuart Skinner and Brett Kulak. Then there's the blockbuster Quinn Hughes trade between the Vancouver Canucks and Minnesota Wild.

Skinner, Jarry, Hughes, Rossi, Buium... these are all the big sexy names in all of the articles on these big trades. But, let's not forget about Brett Kulak. The 31 year old Kulak has had a stellar season with the Oilers and was, for all intents and purposes, a salary cap casualty was included in the Jarry/Skinner trade in order to balance out salaries. He's a quality player and there are new reports that he may end up being flipped in a trade by the Penguins.

NHL insider Elliotte Friedman was on Oilers Now with Oilers insider Bob Stauffer where he reported that Kulak could be shipped out by Penguins GM Kyle Dubas in a trade.

From Oilers Now on Tuesday afternoon:

Elliotte Friedman: Before he was included in the Pittsburgh deal, I think there were some teams in on Brett Kulak; that one isn't over

Bob Stauffer: ...you could see Kulak getting maybe flipped?

Friedman: Yeah; they did that last year with Luke Schenn

Kulak is in the final year of a 4 year deal that pays him $2.75 million per season.
