A bombshell report from Frank Seravalli!
According to a report from NHL insider Frank Seravalli, New York Rangers GM Chris Drury is in "advanced discussions" with Anaheim Ducks GM Pat Verbeek on a trade that would send veteran forward Chris Kreider to the Ducks.
It's not known yet who or what else is in the deal, but Kreider has been rumored to be on the move for months now.
The latest from Seravalli:
It's important to note that Kreider has two more seasons left on a contract that pays him $6.5 million annually.
It's also worth noting that Kreider's former Rangers teammate, captain in fact, Jacob Trouba is of course a member of the Ducks. Kreider was very outspoken in the wake of Trouba's trade to the Ducks this past season and the pair are known to be close on the ice and off the ice.
As a player, as a teammate, as a friend and human being, obviously we love him to death and what he's done and what he does for us,” Kreider said about Trouba this past season.
Stay tuned for continued updates on this developing story.
