Reports that the Stars are committing to GM Jim Nill long-term
The veteran GM will be on his 5th head coach next season...

Dallas Stars insider Matthew DeFranks reported earlier today that Stars GM Jim Nill and owner Tom Gaglardi are working towards a "succession plan" that will see Nill move out of the GM role, but at least not for a few years.

Personally, I don't see this news going over well with Stars fans.
After all, Nill's only real accomplishment as GM of this team is leading them to a Stanley Cup Final where they got absolutely lambasted by the Tampa Bay Lightning. Other than that... the Stars have been pretty mediocre.
Under Nill the Stars have gone through five head coaches: Ken Hitchcock, Lindy Ruff, Jim Montgomery, Rick Bowness and now Peter DeBoer. Meanwhile they've floated around the middle of the standings the entire time. Thoughts, Stars fans?
