According to multiple online reports, the Carolina Hurricanes have signed free agent defenseman Caleb Jones to a one year contract.
Jones was the top scoring defenseman remaining in this summer's free agent class, putting up 16 points in 73 games with the Chicago Blackhawks last season. The 26 year old blueliner played alongside his brother Seth Jones with the Blackhawks the past couple seasons, but was not retained by the team this offseason.
Stay tuned for official confirmation.
