Former Chicago Blackhawks and Carolina Hurricanes forward Bryan Bickell is one of hockey’s true inspirations. Despite being diagnosed with multiple sclerosis midseason in 2016-17, the 31 year-old winger battled through symptoms and completed the season with the Hurricanes.

Now, forced into retirement by the disease at such a young age, Bickell is raising awareness and giving back to the community that has helped him so far in his fight.

Check out this feature about how Bickell is using the world of craft beer to aid in the fight against MS:

How awesome is that? It’s great to see Bickell living life with such a purpose. The Stanley Cup champion is using the unique opportunity presented to him by Manantler Brewing to help further awareness amongst the public for MS and ultimately raise money for his foundation. Kudos, Bryan!
