The hockey world keeps buzzing about the latest signing in Vegas as the Golden Knights inked embroiled goaltender Carter Hart to a professional tryout contract, with plans to add him to the main roster when he becomes eligible to return to NHL action on December 1, 2025.

The Golden Knights are already being heavily criticized for their decision and last night, as they hosted the Boston Bruins, some fans attending the game showed up with sign, showing their frustration with the signing.

However, it’s retired forward Jakub Voracek that got people talking on Friday as he reposted the picture of a female fan holding a sign that reads: “No Hart, believe women.”

Voracek posted the picture with his added caption: “All of them??” with fans calling him out for his insensitive comment, with one saying:

“The most obvious of CTE”

Once he met with media, Hart did make a statement in reference to the trial in which he, along with Alex Formenton, Michael McLeod, Dillon Dube, and Cal Foote, faced charges stemming from a June 2018 incident at a London, Ontario, hotel following a Hockey Canada gala. In July, Justice Maria Carroccia acquitted all five players.

Hart stated on Thursday that he’s ready to “move on.”

“I’ve learned a lot. I’ve grown a lot. I’m ready to move on. I’m excited to get out in the community and show my true character.”

However, it will be harder to gain back the confidence and respect of some fans out there, especially if other hockey players, outside of the situation, carelessly comment on the situation before Hart plays his first official game back in the NHL.

Not sure it was wise of Voracek to make the comment, quite useless if you ask me, but everyone has something to say about it and it’s no different for a former player who still wants to have a say in what’s going on in today’s NHL.
