The Jets coach underwent a serious family emergency.
The head coach of the Winnipeg Jets, Mike Donovan, faced a challenging situation as he took a month off to attend to his wife, Judy, who unfortunately experienced a sudden seizure.
The good news is that Bowness, who took a leave of absence on October 23, is ready to be back behind the Jets bench. The respect that his players have for him is obvious:
According to Bowness, Judy "was doing as well as we can expect" after receiving treatment and that "she is getting stronger every day" after "a life-changing moment for us."
The Jets, under assistant coach Scott Arniel, went 9-2-2 in Bowness' absence.
