Rickard Rakell taunted by his own wife on social media.

Being a player in the National Hockey League gives a person access to a very glamorous lifestyle that most people can only dream of and for this reason it is easy to forget sometimes that we are all just human beings at the end of the day.

Over the weekend we were treated to a rather hilarious reminder of that when the wife of Pittsburgh Penguins forward Rickard Rakell, Emmeli Rakell, reminded the entire world that her husband is just a man like all the others.

Rakell's wife took to social media to post a hilarious caption that was accompanied by a photo of a very tired looking Rickard Rakell conducting a post-game interview. Despite the fact that Rakell looked like a man who had left it all on the ice, his wife made it clear that his day wasn't over with a load of laundry to fold waiting for him once he made it back home.

In another diabolical twist, Rakell's wife also published the proof that her threat was a real one. In a second post to her Instagram story she showed her husband folding the clothes as she promised:

While this may come off as a little mean-spirited to some, I suspect that this is just the couple's sense of humor on full display. Unfortunately for Rakell, it looks like there was still a good bit of laundry left to fold in the second photo and I can only hope that he will have enough time to rest up before the Penguins next game.
