An all-time gutless move from Greig earns him a ban.
This just in, NHL Player Safety has suspended Ottawa Senators forward Ridly Greig for the first two regular season games of the 2026-27 season.
Greig delivered a gloved upper-cut punch to Carolina Hurricanes defenseman Sean Walker in Game 4 of the Senators' and Hurricanes' first round playoff matchup while Walker was already in a scrum with Sens forward Warren Foegele. Greig was essentially the 'third man in' in this scrum and delivered a gutless sucker punch to Walker who was already in a headlock from Foegele.
Greig was not assessed a penalty on the play but now he'll be forced to sit out two games to start next season.
