Rinne keeps dirty little secret about starting game 3.

To start or not to start, that is the question.

Pekka Rinne's performance in the regular season was stellar. The Finnish goalie had an amazing 1.98 GAA and .929 save percentage since the beginning of the Predators playoff run, but his luck seems to have failed him during the first two games against the Penguins. After a lukewarm performance in the first defeat, he was relieved of his functions during game 2 in a lost cause. Needless to say, many eyebrows were lifted about his case.

The 34 years old has been around the block through his career that began back in 2005-2006. The former 258th (you've read that one correctly) pick in 2004 has played 526 games in the NHL thus far and he's not stopping anytime soon. What do you think he said when journalists asked him if he or Juuse Saros would start game 3?

"I'm going to keep it a secret" .

What? Is it because he feels he's not ready to play?

"The last two games haven't gone the way I wanted them to go, and I know the stakes are high, it's [the Final] and everything, but I'm still feeling confident," Rinne said. "I feel comfortable out there and do the same preparations as I always do before the games."

Well, it doesn't say a lot about the goalie situation. Maybe Juuse Saros could highlight the journalists a bit?

"I don't know anything about that," Saros said.

Sighh... As a last resort, Peter Laviolette might hint at the possible goalie choice?

''We don't talk about lineup decisions".

Well, that's that. In all fairness, it would be extremely surprising to see Saros start game 3 in Nashville after Rinne carried the team on his shoulders all year long, but stranger things happened before. If he's 100% healthy, Rinne is still one of the top goalie and the league and you need every assets in the book against the ever tough Penguins.
