The head coach of the Carolina Hurricanes has reportedly made his choice.
According to a breaking news report from former National Hockey League goaltender turned NHL insider Kevin Weekes, long time Hurricanes head coach Rod Brind'Amour will be remaining with the Hurricanes after a lengthy contract negotiation that dragged out throughout the Stanley Cup playoffs.
Word has been that Brind'Amour was once again looking to secure the future of the other members of his coaching staff before signing on the dotted line but, according to Weekes' report, the entire coaching staff has be re-signed and will remain with the Hurricanes moving forward.
The Hurricanes fell short of their goal, eliminated in the second round of the Stanley Cup playoffs at the hands of the New York Rangers, but it seems Brind'Amour's performance during both the regular season and the playoffs were enough to earn him yet another extension.
