Rod Brind'Amour makes a goalie change for Game 2!
The head coach of the Carolina Hurricanes is calling an audible after a grueling quadruple overtime Game 1.
The Carolina Hurricanes are taking a gamble in Game 2.
Head coach Rod Brind'Amour has called an audible as goaltender Antti Raanta was the one to lead the Hurricanes out onto the ice tonight ahead of the second game in the Eastern Conference Final.
The Hurricanes and Florida Panthers battled it out in an epic first game in this series, one that needed quadruple overtime to determine a winner. It seems clear that Brind'Amour's decision to rest goaltender Frederik Andersen, who was stellar during Game 1, comes as a direct result of that grueling contest.
The Panthers on the other hand appear to be sticking with goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky who has been lights out thus far in the postseason.
