
Ron MacLean forced to issue apology after inappropriate comments during Stanley Cup Final.
Longtime National Hockey League broadcaster Ron MacLean is in some hot water tonight after inappropriate comments he made on air resulted in MacLean being forced to issue a public apology.
On Sunday night, during the broadcast of Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Final, MacLean made comments during a segment that referenced the movie "The Hangover," comments that caused several fans to do a double take when they heard MacLean utter the words.
"Roofies will get you every time," said MacLean referencing a drug with some very serious connotations.
It was a comment that caught the attention of several fans, some of whom were quick to share various clips of the segment on social media. You can here MacLean make the initial comment in the video below:
It wouldn't be long before MacLean would be forced to address those very same comments on the broadcast of Game 6, with MacLean coming back on air during the second intermission to issue a lengthy apology to those who were offended by his comments.
"It was a bad mistake by me," admitted MacLean

Although MacLean was quick to apologize he continues to face criticism from fans over his comments on social media.
