If you haven't heard Emil Lilleberg's name by now, this hit is probably going to put him on your radar.

The Tampa Bay Lightning's rookie defenseman put the National Hockey League on notice on Saturday night when he delivered one of the biggest hits of the 2023-24 regular season, completely destroying the Anaheim Ducks' Brett Leason in the process.

Lilleberg caught Leason skating through the neutral zone with his head down on Saturday night and did he ever make the big man pay a heavy price for doing so. Lilleberg absolutely crushed Leason, sending the big man through the air with a helicopter spin before he crashed down face first on the ice.

Much to Leason's credit, he tried to get back to his feet and skate back to the bench immediately following the hit and managed to do so despite struggling in the process. Leason would quickly head down the tunnel after the hit and I don't expect we will see him again tonight.
