It was a pretty huge night for rookie Zach Werenski.

The 19-year-old Columbus Blue Jackets defenseman set a new rookie record for his team on Friday night when an assist gave him his 40th point of the season, more than any other Blue Jacket rookie before him.

It wasn't just an emotional achievement for Werenski however as Sportsnet insider Chris Johnston is reporting that Werenski met the criteria for two of his performance bonuses on Friday night.

Werenski will earn a very nice $212,500 in bonus money for recording his 40th point as Blue Jacket and he will also hit another performance bonus of $212,500 for hitting the .49 points per game mark this season.

That's a total of $425,000 dollars all in one night, not a bad day for a 19-year-old.
