Rumor: Blackhawks very close to trade involving Patrick Sharp.

While it has taken longer than many expected it would the Chicago Blackhawks continue their efforts to trade forward Patrick Sharp in order to free up some much needed cap space. It appears they may have been very close to a deal on Monday night, and that deal could still come to fruition according to a report from David Dwork of CBS Miami. According to Dwork's report the Blackhawks' trading partner for this deal would be the Florida Panthers, although he did not specify what Florida would be sending Chicago in return for Sharp. The latest update from Dwork is suggesting that the two sides have a deal in place, and a no trade clause is currently the only thing standing in the way of a deal getting done.

Word on the Sharp deal is that terms between the Cats and Hawks were agreed on but a player condition to waive NTC yet to be approved by FLA
