Divisive decision about to be confirmed?

Pittsburgh Penguins head coach Mike Sullivan made a divisive decision prior to game 4 against the Ottawa Senators when he decided to replace Marc-Andre Fleury for Matt Murray. It poured fuel over the fires as we have heard countless rumors throughout the season about star goaltender Marc-André Fleury, and tons of possible trade destinations for him.

Obviously the Pittsburgh Penguins will have a tough call to make by the expansion draft. Who are they going to protect? Fleury or Murray? Well, it appears they might have chosen to protect Murray.

As reported by Max Truman, NHL insider, exclusive sources confirmed him that Véronique LaRose (Marc-André Fleury’s wife) went to Last Vegas lately to take a look at potential houses and schools for their children. The Penguins’ netminder clearly lost his #1 spot to Matt Murray and will probably be left unprotected.

Are Fleury and Rutherford expected to have a “goalie-to-goalie” discussion by the end of the season? Probably. According to Luc Gelinas, RDS sports network insider, Fleury would have already been informed he will not be back with the Penguins next season.
