This just in, according to a report from Vancouver Canucks insider Rick Dhaliwal, he believes that the team has offered their vacant GM position to Ryan Johnson.

Johnson, of course, is the Canucks' AHL affiliate GM and helped build the 2025 Calder Cup champion Abbotsford Canucks. Earlier this past weekend though it was reported that the Canucks had hired former Boston Bruins executive Evan Gold. Now, apparently the team has had a change of heart and have offered the position to Johnson.

From Dhaliwal:

As mentioned by Dhaliwal, it's believed that Daniel and Henrik Sedin will take over some sort of hockey operations role in the Canucks' new front office. Personally, I suspect that they'll take on the President's role from Jim Rutherford in tandem.
