Rumor : Ducks' promising player expected to be moved to Vegas.

The Vegas expansion is filled with amazing turns of events and unexpected outcomes. Some player that were set to be long term assets for a team suddenly end up on the trade block and will be long gone very soon. It's a tough choice each team had to make by deciding which player was or wasn't protected. 

According to NHL insider David Pagnotta, Sami Vatanen will wear the golden and black jersey next year. 

This comes at a surprise to some extent because Vatanen showed a lot of promise for an offensive defenseman. Although his size has always been an issue and he had a tougher season than he would have wanted, Vatanen was still considered as a work in process that could end in the top pairing at some point. Putting him on the unprotected list opened a clear choice for Vegas and apparently, it's almost a done deal.
