According to a report from NHL insider Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet, the Calgary Flames are actively shopping winger Michael Frolik, who carries a cap hit of $4.3 million for one more season.

Check out these comments from Friedman:

I think there are a couple of teams interested in Frolik. I do think that’s a possibility. As a matter of fact, I wouldn’t be hugely surprised if it happened before July 1 with him. I think it comes down to a deal that you guys have to like, but I had some teams tell me that Frolik’s name was out there and they heard of nibbles. There’s something, but we’ll see if it goes anywhere.

Again, Frolik comes with a $4.3 million cap hit for the 2019-20 season, but he'll become an unrestricted free agent in the 2020 offseason. So... what kind Frolik fetch on the trade market? Friedman reports that the return would be “nothing too high.” In other words, the real benefit of a Frolik trade for the Flames would merely be the $4.3 million freed up by moving him.

So... any takers?

UPDATE: In his latest 31 Thoughts column for Sportsnet, Friedman mentions the New Jersey Devils as a potential suitor for Frolik's services.
