Rumor: Former Bruins pick to return to NHL?
Keystone Press

According to a report from Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman, former Boston Bruins forward Alexander Khokhlachev could make a return to the Bruins next season. In his latest 31 Thoughts article, Friedman singles out Khoklachev as another former NHLer who could return from exile in the KHL

Finally from overseas, it is possible Alexander Khokhlachev makes a return to Boston next season. This is his second season in the KHL, but he liked playing for Bruce Cassidy at AHL Providence. May happen.

While nothing is official yet and the Bruins would need to agree on a new deal with the 24-year-old, there’s no doubt that they could use the talented Russian’s skill in their lineup. While he went pointless in nine NHL games,  Khokhlachev was a relatively productive player for head coach Bruce Cassidy in the AHL, scoring 23 goals and 68 points in 60 games just two years ago.
