Rumor: Former Stanley Cup Champion Dennis Seidenberg has made his choice.

There were rumors that as many as seven National Hockey League teams were interested in former Stanley Cup Champion Dennis Seidenberg but it sounds like six of them are going to be disappointed.

According to TSN insider Darren Dreger, Seideinberg has agreed to terms on a one-year deal with the New York Islanders, and furthermore Dreger believes that one-year deal is worth a flat $1 million.

Seidenberg's outstanding performance at the World Cup of Hockey had certainly raised the interest level in him, but most of the teams were rumored to be offering tryouts prior to signing him. The Islanders stepped up to the plate and offered him an NHL contract, and as a result they have won the services of Seidenberg.

If he can maintain the level of play he showed for Team Europe this will be a steal, but with his injury history that is a big if.
