Rumor: High-profile Red Wings player on the trade market!
A 50-point scorer on the market? And his name isn't Matt Duchene?!

The Detroit Red Wings are one of the most active teams in the NHL right now, as far as roster moves go.
After a standoff with Andreas Athanasiou that took several months to resolve, Ken Holland swiftly unloaded Riley Sheahan's contract in a trade to the Pittsburgh Penguins.
There have been talks, according to Spector's Hockey, that Sheahan isn't the only player they are trying to move.
Gustav Nyquist, a left-shot right winger who regularly puts up close to 50 points a year, is available on the open market. He has 1 more season after this year at $4.75 million - and that price tag has teams weary of dealing for him.
The winger went from being a near 30 goal scorer, to a near 40 assist playmaker throughout his career, all the while staying a consistent point scorer. He clearly possesses the tools to both score and make plays, making him a very interesting option on the right side.
The Montreal Canadiens are a team with cap space, a hole on the right wing, and a desperation for offense. Holland may be unwilling to deal with Marc Bergevin, being division rivals, but if the offer is right, divisional rivalry will be set aside.
