Many NHL insiders suspect something is brewing...

Chatter has increased on the rumor front since last night, as there was an unusually large scouting presence at one of the National Hockey League's games.
According to a report, scouts from twenty-two different NHL teams showed up on Thursday to watch the Ottawa Senators and Detroit Red Wings do battle on Thursday night.
Senators insider Bruce Garrioch added that he believes "something is brewing." The Montreal Canadiens and Chicago Blackhawks may be looking to play a role in the mix, as two scouts were in attendance also, rather than just the one.
The Senators have come up in trade rumors as of late with players like Kyle Turris and Chris Wideman. Turris was back in action last night, and many of the scouts might have been there to see him on the ice again.
As for Detroit they have not been the subject of trade rumors following the signing of forward Andreas Athanasiou. Centre Riley Sheahan was recently moved to the Pittsburgh Peguins and GM Ken Holland might have a lot more in store. Defenseman Mike Green could be a trade target this season given his expiring contract. He is said to be the Wings' biggest trade chip.
Many NHL insiders are keeping an eye on this developing story as one or more players could be moved shortly.
