RUMOR: IMPORTANT announcement regarding Mark Recchi soon to be made?
An NHL source has confirmed to Murphy’s Hockey Law that four-time Stanley Cup Champion Mark Recchi could finally be inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame next fall.
“There’s a real strong push right now to put him where he belongs,” as reported by “the source” Murphy’s Hockey Law is referring to. “It’s been a crime that this player didn’t go in yet and I think the voters realize that now.”
Mark Recchi played for seven different NHL teams: The Pittsburgh Penguins, the Montreal Canadiens, the Philadelphia Flyers, the Carolina Hurricanes, the Atlanta Thrashers, the Tampa Bay Lightning and the Boston Bruins.
He played 1652 games throughout his NHL career. Recchi scored 577 goals and registered 956 assists for a total of 1533 points.
