It sounds like there is at least a possibility that the Canadiens have underestimated the severity of the injury to their star defenseman.

Fans will know Subban was carried out on a stretcher several weeks ago after he suffered a neck injury in a seemingly flue accident during a game against the Buffalo Sabres. Despite the fact that the injury looked very serious, reports that filtered out of Montreal in the following days were very positive and it seemed like Subban would be back in no time.

Fast forward to today, with 11 games missed due to injury, the first time he has had an injury-related absence, and Subban is still on the sidelines and may need to undergo more test before determining his condition. According to Habs insider Marco Normandin, Subban has another MRI scheduled, and if it's for his neck it's not a good sign for Montreal. However at this time it's unclear what the MRI is for, and there have been rumors that Subban was playing through a knee injury, which could be the reason behind the MRI.

One thing is certain, fans in Montreal are very concerned about the health of their top defenseman.
