After weeks of speculation, the deal appears done.
Ever since the Vancouver Canucks' trade of superstar captain Quinn Hughes, there's been nothing but speculation as to who else the team will deal this season.
Gone is pending unrestricted free agent (UFA) Kiefer Sherwood thanks to a trade with the San Jose Sharks a week ago and now today there are multiple online reports that fellow pending UFA Evander Kane is up next. In fact, some accounts are reporting that Kane has already been traded and that the deal just hasn't been announced yet.
NHL insider Kevin Weekes reported just a few days ago that the Dallas Stars and Colorado Avalanche are both interested in Kane and, if Kane's own social media activity is to be believed then it looks like he's headed to the Lone Star State.
According to an account that track's NHLers and their Instagram follows, Kane has followed just one new Instagram account in the past week: A Dallas based real estate company.
