KHL player terminated contract with his team could join former NHL team!

Sport-Express’ hockey writer/KHL Igor Eronko confirmed the news on twitter last night.

“Vladimir Sobotka terminated contract with Avangard of the KHL.”

Sportsnet insider Elliotte Friedman replied to Igor Eronko with a very interesting tweet saying, “An interesting one … word from Russian sources there were talks on him rejoining STL with an extension. We’ve heard it before. We’ll see.” Referring to the fact that Sobotka has been multiple time linked to rumors sending him back to St. Louis.

Vladimir Sobotka played a total of 381 games in the NHL with the Boston Bruins and the St. Louis Blues. He scored 35 goals and registered 88 assists for a total of 123 points. Sobotka is a 4th round pick (106 overall) of the 2005 NHL entry Draft.

The 5ft10, 197 pounds center also played for the Slavia Praha HC (Czech league) and the Omsk Avangard (KHL). He ended the 2016–2017 season with 30 points (9G, 21A) in 41 games.
