Rumor: Maple Leafs snatch a forward from the Ottawa Senators.

A player has been listed on the Toronto Maple Leafs roster today in spite of the fact that no signing has been announced.

We have something of a curious situation to report, and no one seems to know what is actually going on just yet.

Ears and eyes perked up this morning when free agent forward Dylan Gambrell, who most recently played for the Ottawa Senators, suddenly made an appearance on the Toronto Maple Leafs roster. No signing of Gambrell was announced, but there was no mistaking the fact that his name appeared on the roster via the league's official website.

Now this could in theory be an error but this occurrence has now been highlighted for some time and Gambrell's name remains on the roster, indicating that he may have in fact signed a deal with the Maple Leafs.

Gambrell is coming off a season that saw him record 4 goals and 6 assists for a total of 10 points over 60 regular season games.

Stay tuned for official confirmation.
