23-year-old defenseman about to hit the trade market

As per USA TODAY, the Minnesota Wild would be about to trade a former first rounder defenseman. A possibility created by the NHL holding an expansion draft on June 21 to stock the Vegas Golden Knights.

As speculated by Kevin Allen, NHL insider, it makes more sense to deal Jonas Brodin, instead of losing him in the expansion draft.

Jonas Brodin played 331 games in the NHL. He scored 18 goals and registered 61 assists for a total of 79 points. The 6ft1, 194-pound defenseman is a former first round pick (10th overall) of the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.

Back in 2011, he was considered by scouting report from The Hockey News as a supreme puck-moving defenseman with a projectable frame and defensive acumen. He can log plenty of minutes for his hockey club, in any situation, which adds to his overall value. He has the talent to become a talented puck-moving defenseman with a little upside.
