Huge fresh update on Friday morning regarding the former 3rd pick overall

Yesterday following the monster Jonathan Drouin’s trade, TSN insider Bob McKenzie has indicated that the Jonathan Drouin trade made today by the Canadiens could make the rumored trade of Canadiens forward Alex Galchenyuk all the more likely. 

Considering that both men play on the wing, although Galchenyuk has been used at times as a center, it does seem like the Drouin move makes the Galchenyuk trade a forgone conclusion.

On Friday morning, Bob McKenzie added some huge fresh updates regarding the former 3rd pick overall.

“Even before Drouin was there, I think they’ve been making a pretty concerted effort to trade Galchenyuk,” Said McKenzie. “I would assume now that they have Drouin, that only intensifies.”

Finally, he concluded by saying, “As opposed to saying guaranteed, I would say it’s more likely than not Galchenyuk gets traded…”

Pierre LeBrun added, “There’s no question from talking to other teams around the league that Galchenuk is out there right now."
