Predators have found the successor to Shea Weber.

There's been no official report just as of yet but it appears that that the Nashville Predators have selected their new captain.
According to a report from Adam Vingan of the Tennessean, the Predators will hold a major press conference tomorrow where they will announce that veteran forward Mike Fisher will be wearing the "C" for them next season.
This will be the first time Fisher has been named the captain of an NHL team, although he has served as an alternate captain for the Predators under former teammate Shea Weber, and had the same role during his time with the Senators.
This will be no small task for Fisher to undertake, he's likely acutely aware of the fact that he has very big shoes to fill, although at this stage in his career he's likely up to the task. It's also worth nothing that Fisher is 36 years old, and only has one year left on his current deal, so it's fair to wonder about whether or not this is a long term assignment from the Predators or merely a holdover.
