Rumor: Oilers could make major trade to replace Evander Kane
This would be huge.

The Edmonton Oiler will be without the services of forward Evander Kane for the next several months, as he suffered a gruesome and frightening injury to his left wrist after being accidentally cut deeply by the skate of Tampa Bay Lightning forward Pat Maroon during their game last week at Amalie Arena.
So, could Oilers general manager Ken Holland be looking for outside reinforcements? It looks as though that could be a possibility, especially given the fact that Kane's injury opens up some cap space for the Oilers to play around with. According to NHL analyst Mike Johnson, pending unrestricted free agent forward Vladimir Tarasenko of the struggling St. Louis Blues has been connected to Edmonton.
As you may remember, Tarasenko had previously asked to be traded out of St. Louis not long ago before rescinding the request. With the Blues appearing to be on the verge of breaking up their core of 2019 Stanley Cup champion players that also include the likes of fellow pending UFA and captain Ryan O'Reilly, Tarasenko could be ripe for the picking for a team looking to make a another extended postseason run like the Oilers.
You can also bet that Holland wants to do everything possible to try and keep his dynamic duo of Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl happy to keep playing in chilly Edmonton rather than potentially consider greener pastures when it comes time for their new deals.
Oilers fans, would you like to see Tarasenko brought aboard?
