The Arizona Coyotes may be looking to pull off a major coup. 

While it’s important to state that nothing is official at this time, senior hockey reporter over at TSN Darren Dreger is reporting that he is now hearing the name of Pittsburgh Penguins Legend Rick Tocchet being connected to the Coyotes. 

Haven’t dug in on this one, but sounds like there’s a good possibility Rick Tocchet is the Arizona Coyotes next head coach.”

Tocchet played 18 seasons in the NHL for the Philadelphia FlyersPittsburgh PenguinsLos Angeles KingsBoston BruinsWashington Capitals and Phoenix Coyotes. He is currently an assistant coach to Mike Sullivan of the Pittsburgh Penguins. He was the head coach of the Tampa Bay Lightning for two seasons.

He retired after 2001–02 season, being one of several players in NHL history to collect 400 goals and 2,000 penalty minutes including Brendan Shanahan and Gary Roberts.
