Finally some good news for the Bruins?
The Boston Bruins announced they have sent defenseman Rob O'Gara and goaltender Zane McIntyre to the Providence Bruins (AHL). This roster move probably means that number one goaltender Tuuka Rask is good to go, after he missed some time with a concussion he suffered, caused by a collision during a practice.
O'Gara, 24, was drafted 151st overall by Boston in 2011. He played four games with the Bruins without registering a point.
McIntyre, 25, was drafted 165th by the Bruins in 2010. In eight career starts with Boston, he owns a record of 0-4-1 with a 3.97 goals against average and a .858 save percentage.
The Bruins are still dealing with a couple more injuries, as defenseman Adam McQuaid and forward Ryan Spooner will both miss several weeks of action.
