Keystone Press

Young RFA David Pastrnak has been at the center of trade rumor and speculation for weeks now as a result of his contract stalemate with the Boston Bruins. Up until recently however, those rumors had connected him to teams in the NHL like the Montreal Canadiens, New York Islanders, Vancouver Canucks and Columbus Blue Jackets. But late last week some rumblings emerged that the 21-year-old sniper was considering options in the KHL. Now, his agent has broken his silence on the matter.

Wow. Could you imagine things actually coming to that? The Bruins better wake up and get this guy signed because they can’t afford to lose him, even if only just for a year. The young Czech winger is coming off a huge 34 goals and 70 point breakout season, losing him over a contract squabble would be a disaster for the Bruins.
