Rumor: Shane Wright has been traded.
A massive trade is reportedly going down!
There have been rumors for days now that Shane Wright will be leaving the Kingston Frontenacs of the Ontario Hockey League via a trade and it sounds like those rumors may have finally come to fruition.
The trade has not yet officially been confirmed, but veteran hockey writer Ken Campbell is now reporting that his sources are hearing Wright will be headed to the London Knights, as many suspected, in exchange for defenseman Oliver Bonk and a package of 6 draft picks.
Bonk is a 17 year old defenseman that has spent the past two seasons playing for the aforementioned London Knights. In 35 games this season he has 7 goals and 17 assists for a total of 24 points. Bonk currently has 24 penalty minutes on the season and had a plus minus rating of +12 with the Knights.
Mark Scheig of The Hockey Writers also appears to be corroborating the latest from Campbell.
Ottawa Senators insider Bruce Garrioch has joined the list of insiders that appear to be corroborating Campbell's report.
