With the Flyers under-performing and the fans calling for Craig Berube's head on a plate, there may be a coaching change after this season. If Craig Berube were to lose the head coaching job in Philadelphia, the void would have to be filled by someone right? Well why not the winningest active coach in the NHL. Detroit Red Wings head coach Mike Babcock's contract expires at the end of the season and the Red Wings have been trying to low-ball Babcock. This may entice him to look elsewhere for a position. TSN's Bob McKenzie stated on TSN 1050 Radio that the Flyers will be front runners at the end of the season, should Babcock leave the Red Wings. “So then the question becomes if being the highest-paid coach is all well and good at $3 million – but what if you’ve got a pretty good feeling that someone’s going to give you $4 million or $5 million even? Is that the measuring stick for what you might weigh it against ... there are all sorts of teams out there, be it the Philadelphia Flyers, the Leafs, you name it, that would probably jump at the chance to sign Mike Babcock and give him in that $4-5 million range.” Would you fans like to see Mike Babcock in Philly?
