Rumors around two players heating up in a major way.

It sounds like not one but two players are on the verge of being traded, although to be perfectly honest we expected Edmonton Oilers forward Teddy Purcell to be dealt last night.

However it appears now that the Oilers did in fact scratch him in preparation for a trade, just one that took a little longer than predicted to get finalized. He's not the only Oiler who may be on the move however according to multiple reports the Oilers have been hard at work trying to get a deal done to rid themselves of Justin Schultz, and they may have found a partner.

The Kings were rumored to be the favorites to acquire Teddy Purcell, and rumors had suggested they might also be interested in Schultz, and David Pagnotta has just revealed the Kings are on the verge of finalizing a trade for a "depth defenseman". Obviously there is no guarantee this is Schultz but it's at the very least interesting how these rumors all seem to be lining up.
