Sportsnet insider Nick Kypreos made some very surprising comments on Tuesday regarding the future of Toronto Maple Leafs star forward Mitch Marner.

During a segment for Sportsnet's Hockey Central at Noon Kypreos flat out stated that he did not believe there was a long-term fit for Marner of the Maple Leafs roster citing that players like Connor Brown, Zach Hyman, Auston Matthews and William Nylander are all ahead of him on Mike Babcock's depth chart.

"I don't know if there's a fit, I think that they should traded him I really do."

Kypreos went even further than that though when he flat out stated that his belief that the Leafs would eventually pull the trigger on a trade for Marner.

" I think that it's inevitable, that they are probably going to move Mitch Marner."

While Kypreos did not specify where he could end up during the show, he was later asked what it would cost the Oilers to acquire like Marner, and he suggested Oilers defenseman Darnell Nurse could be the piece going back the other way.
