Ryan Johansen's agent blasts Flyers after contract termination
Johansen's agent is speaking out after his client's contract was terminated!
Veteran forward Ryan Johansen is having his contract terminated by the Philadelphia Flyers for what they are describing as a "material breach" that they allege took place shortly after his acquisition from the Colorado Avalanche in March of this most recent season, but didn't provide any further information as to the nature of the breach.
In the meantime, his agent Kurt Overhardt has released the following statement on behalf of his client:
"Ryan Johansen has a severe hockey injury that requires extensive surgery which has been scheduled. Since being traded to the Philadelphia Flyers, Ryan has worked in good faith with the Club, its medical staff, and authorized third party physicians.
The Flyers' attempt to terminate Ryan's contract is disappointing. We have been in contact with the NHLPA and will defend Ryan and protect his rights."
