One of the all-time great American born National Hockey League goaltenders is officially coming back to the game.

Ryan Miller, who racked up 391 career victories over the course of his career, has been hired by the San Jose Sharks as a goaltending scout. He'll also be working with former teammate Tomas Vanek, who was hired by the Sharks to specifically scout the Minnesota area.

And coincidently, both Miller and Vanek were teammates of current Sharks general manager Mike Grier during his time with the Sabres.

Miller spent the first portion of his career with the Sabres before being traded to the St. Louis Blues at the 2014 NHL Trade Deadline. He's also played for the Vancouver Canucks and later with the Anaheim Ducks. Meanwhile, Vanek spent 8 1/2 years with the Sabres, and would later go on to play for the New York Islanders, Minnesota Wild, Detroit Red Wings, Columbus Blue Jackets, Florida Panthers and Canucks.
