The St. Louis Blues have started winning again. After a tough season start in which captain Ryan O’Reilly questioned his leadership, the Blues got a fourth consecutive victory on Wednesday, against the Chicago Blackhawks.

The Blues came to the Windy City with the players’ mothers on board and since they joined the team, St. Louis has a 2-0. Added to the other two previous straight wins, O’Reilly is starting to believe they can build off this in the coming games.
That’s what the star forward was saying when his mother Bonnie snuck into his post-game interview with TNT’s Darren Pang on the bench.

The captain’s mother was happy not only to have watched her son scored his fourth tally of the season, but also being witness to another win for the team. She couldn’t help but interrupt the interview to celebrate with her son.

Pang asked her about the pep talk the mothers gave their sons earlier on the trip and how supportive they have been, and you can tell Ryan is a bit shy and embarrassed about his mother talking for him, but you have to admit this makes for a wonderful moment off the ice.

Way to go, Bonnie!

The Blues tied the Boston Bruins for the second-longest active winning streak this season behind only the Devils (10-0-0).
