Ryan Suter gets honoured in return to Minnesota and we can’t tell how he feels…
It’s hard to tell after what he told reporters…

This was kind of awkward if you heard earlier this week what Minnesota Wild insider Michael Russo of The Athletic had to say about Ryan Suter returns to his former team.
On Thursday night, Suter and the Stars were in Minnesota as the blue liner will face his former team for the first time. On Tuesday, Russo revealed that Suter wanted nothing to do with the Wild, saying he did not want a video tribute on the jumbotron at center ice.
That’s because things quickly turned sour between the Wild and Suter this summer when the veteran defenseman found out that he had been bought out by the team, after it had done the same with forward Zach Parise. This was a shocking news for Suter, who was talking to Parise about his contract buyout when he learned he was joining him. He was stunned and never saw it coming. Rival teams jumped at the chance to sign the veteran blue liner, who finally agree on opening day of free agency, to ink a deal with the Dallas Stars. He agreed to sign a four-year contract, his cap hit is $3.625M.
However, during the first TV timeout, the Wild put up a touching tribute on the screen and the crowd gave Suter an ovation.
While Suter saluted the crowd and waved, it’s hard to say if he was moved by the tribute. Maybe it’s because we know he did not want one, but it’s hard to tell how he felt about it.
Check it out:
While Suter tried to convince himself before the contest that this was just another game, we bet he would have love to earn a win over his former team, the one that bought him out.
Instead, he got a loss… and a video tribute.
