This just in, the Buffalo Sabres have traded forward Filip Cederqvist to the Montreal Canadiens in exchange for... well... nothing.

Officially Cederqvist was traded for Future Considerations, but we all know that that doesn't really mean anything.

Check it out:

The 23 year old Cederqvist has yet to play in an NHL game after being drafted in the 5th round of the 2019 NHL Entry Draft. He's played 74 AHL games, all with the Sabres' AHL affiliate Rochester Americans, the past two seasons scoring 10 goals and 24 points.

He's not likely to factor into the Habs' long-term plans, but he could work himself into the team's lineup this season due to some pro roster injuries.

Read more below for the press release announcement from both the Sabres and the Canadiens concerning this relatively minor deal.
