This just in, the Buffalo Sabres have acquired a 1st round pick (14th overall) and a 2nd round pick (42nd overall) from the San Jose Sharks in exchange for their own 1st round pick (11th overall).

So, in effect, the Sabres have acquired an additional pick (42nd) all for the trouble of moving down three spots in the 1st round Draft order.
The Sabres now hold nine picks in the draft, including three selections in the top 60. Not bad, not bad at all.
